2 year well check

sheeesh, and I even made the Dr. appointment months in advance! It was only a few weeks off from Nate's 2nd birthday though, so no biggie really (His b-day was October 20th). But I just wanted to say....yay! He's in excellent health and I am so grateful. He received 2 shots, had some blood drawn to run tests on his thyroid function-and continues to track in the 50%('tile) for height and weight on the non-Ds chart.
(I hate the word 'typical' in case you forgot! click here to read more!)
I think he is the first out of all of our children to track that high (or 'average') on the charts! Isn't that a bit funny? As I recall, the other kids were a bit lower on the weight scale throughout their toddlerhood.
Natie is in an exciting period where he is really communicating with sign, body language and new sounds almost on a daily basis. He is so much fun to talk to and play with because we can see his understanding of what we're saying and watch his development manifest in so many cute ways.
Now if we could just get him to walk! Little stinker!

  1. That's awesome that he's so healthy! And 50% percentile on the charts is quite respectable :-) I'm guessing he and John Michael are about the same size then. I just weighed my chunker at 30 lbs with clothes. His 2 year check is in 2 weeks. As for walking, well.... you know it'll happen. John Michael has really been working on it for the past 2 months and now that his bday is here on Saturday, I think we can officially call him a walker, although he still walks like Frankenstein :-)
